1. How did you get the name Brandon Rose?

I got the name Brandon Rose from playing basketball in high school, my game was similar to the playing style of Derrick Rose, who at the time was the MVP of the league. “Rose” was and is also leveraged as marketing technique to attract a female audience, as most of the content and music that I release is hardcore, street, conscience, and a representation of 90s Hip-Hop. Every Rose has its Thorns, so you might get hurt if you mess with me, but I’m a good guy.

3. What song put you on the mainstream map?

“Flood The Town” put me on the mainstream map, however I went viral way before Flood The Town. Records like “Street Warfare”, “Ridin Round”, “Street Scholar” “7:30”, “You Ain’t Know” “Gametime” all have garnered vitality on the internet and in the streets.

Flood The Town went crazy all over New York City and around the world. It was even on a billboard in Times Square.

5. Speaking of your music, who’s your dream collab on a hit record ? One artist dead, one artist alive?

6. Which record has been your biggest hit & fan fave? How many streams/ views did it get?

“Flood The Town” featuring GeminiJynx & Jadakiss I believe has been my biggest hit and fan fave as it amassed over 1.4 Million Views On YouTube, over 1.4 Million On Worldstar, went viral on Facebook, was on Hot97, Shade 45, BET Jams, hit a lot of the major blogs and websites, played in all of the clubs in NYC, obtained a Billboard in NYC, and News12 The Bronx reached out to me to conduct an interview on the story.

7. Aside from a being an artist, actor & entrepreneur, and businessman, you’re also an educator. Tell us about that.

As a thought leader in the technology and digital marketing space, I have years of experience that includes but is not limited to: Construction, Outdoor, Hardware Sales, Digital Advertising, Social Media, Public Relations: Integrated Marketing & Corporate Communications, E-Commerce, Hospitality, and Education. You can’t say your successful until you give back, and I’ve helped many students and sellers achieve success in their careers as being their mentor, advisor, and someone they can rely on and trust when it comes to their career development.

7. You have a movie debut coming up. Tell us about it.

“Big Italy” the movie is a movie centered around Rob Salese aka “Sal”. I play a major role in the movie as I will be starting as “Artan” the son of the Albanian gangster. This movie is a spin-off of the movie Bully, and is based off a true story, similar to that of The Bronx Tale.

9. Tell us 3, random fun facts about you.

I’m a twin (fraternal). I believe I’m the good twin.

I’m a full blown European (Albanian And Italian, etc)

I live three lives (Artist, Entertainer, Businessman, Educator) and nobody in the world is going to ever stop me or put me in a box.

10. When you’re not listening to your own music, who are you listening to?

50 Cent, Jadakiss, Styles-P, Nas, Jay-Z, Drake & J. Cole

11. Do you recall a specific moment during your career where you thought “ Wow, I made it”

Yes, during the Street Warfare and Flood The Town campaigns. I recognize that I’m a guest in Hip-Hop, and I’m grateful to have been and be accepted into a community that’s dominated by a culture that’s not my own.

12. Do you ever wear your heart on your sleeve when making music? What’s been your deepest/ most revealing song?

Yes, songs like Forever, Lost In Mystery, Street Warfare, Somebody Different, Give Me A Reason, Street Scholar, and Flood The Town are all based off true life experiences and things that I’ve been through. There is no fabrication or “cappin” in my music. I’m the real deal.

13. What’s a misconception about you?

That I’m a mean person. I’m just misunderstood.

14. You must have met tons of people along the way in your career, have you ever been star stuck?

Not really, we’re all humans and we all bleed the same. However, meeting Jadakiss, Dave East, Celebrity DJ’s, etc has been an incredible experience. All great people, with great energy, and their all unique and special in their own right.

15. Do you give back in anyway or have a mission/ cause close to your heart?

Yes, I give back to students and sellers, I give and provide letters of recommendation, I provide free consultation advice for people. I donated for turkey drives. Back to school campaigns, I’ve donated to people in Africa, and always aim to be a positive influence in the community. Childhood Cancer Research has also been a mission, a personal one, close to my heart.
